Biography
Dr. Abdullah Aziz Khalid Muhammad, known as (Abdullah Agrin), was born in 1949 in the city of Sulaymaniyah. He goes back to the Barzanji sheikhs, to the Sheikh Isa branch of the Barzanji, in the Naqshbandi family of Mulla Muhammad Mulla Osman Balkhi (1830 - 1906), known as Mehwi. He graduated from the electrical department of the Sulaymaniyah Seminary in 1966. He was appointed as a teacher in 1968. In 1968, he became a journalist in the Arabic newspapers (El Teexhi and Deng Mamoste and Birayetî). In 1969, he published the story "Kole Mergê" in Kurdish - Central Kurmanji in two volumes of 88 pages in the city of Sulaymaniyah. In 1971, he became a member of the editorial board of the Dengê Mamosta magazine, which was the organ of the Sulaymaniyah branch of the Kurdistan Teachers' Union. In 1971, he published his articles in the Dengê Mamosta magazine. In 1973, he published a collection of stories in Kurdish - Central Kurmanji titled (Agira kefê çoklar te vêmîrê) in two volumes of 70 pages in Baghdad. In 1975, after the defeat of the September Revolution, he went to the Kingdom of Iran, but soon returned to Southern Kurdistan.
In 1984, he received his bachelor's degree in Kurdish Language and Literature from Baghdad University. In 1986, he published the book (Derbarê Mehwiyê Lütke) with a group of writers in Baghdad. On Monday, July 25, 1994, he received his master's degree in Kurdish Literature with the title "Kurdish Poetry Between the Years (1918 - 1930)" from the College of Literature of Salaheddin University in Erbil. In 1995, he was accepted as a graduate student in the Kurdish Department of Salaheddin University (Hewlêr). On Thursday, March 18, 1999, he received his doctorate in Kurdish Literature with the title "The Influence of National Thought in Kurdish Short Stories in Iraqi Kurdistan (1961 - 1970)" from the College of Literature of Salaheddin University (Hewlêr). In 2005, he became a lecturer at Salaheddin University (Hewlêr) in the Kurdish department with the title of assistant professor. He is an expert in Kurdish and Arabic languages.

He joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in 1959. In 1961, he was briefly detained by the Iraqi government's security services for political activities. In 1962, he became the head of the Sulaymaniyah Industrial Training Center (Kurdistan Students' Union). In 1962, he became a member of the secretariat of the Kurdish National Students' Union (First Congress). In 1964, he joined the ranks of the Kurdish Freedom, Life and Unity Association (Kajek). From December 8, 1969 to March 6, 1975, he was the head of the Sulaymaniyah branch of the Kurdish Freedom, Life and Unity Association (Kajek). In 1970, he became a member of the Sulaymaniyah Preparatory Committee for the Third Congress of the Kurdistan Teachers' Union.
On February 2, 1972, he was a representative of the Fourth Congress of the Kurdistan Teachers' Union in the city of Erbil. From May 25, 1972 until the defeat of the September Revolution, he was a member of the leadership of the Kurdish Freedom, Life and Unity Association (Kajêk). On February 1, 1974, he was a representative of the Fourth Congress of the Kurdistan Teachers' Union in the city of Sulaymaniyah. In 1974, he joined the ranks of the Peshmerga of the September Revolution. On April 18, 1974, he was a representative of the Peace Palace Congress of the Kurdish Writers' Union near the town of Çoman, in the province of Erbil. In 1974, he was the editor-in-chief of the Voice of Kurdistan of Iraq Radio. In 1974, he was a teacher of the Human Society Development course in the fifth round of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Cadre Training School in the village of Zinûya Şêxî, in the province of Erbil. In 1974, he became the administrative director of the sixth round of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Cadre Training School in the village of Zinûya Şêx.
In 1991, he participated in the Southern Kurdistan Uprising. On October 7-10, 1991, he was elected as a member of the Political School of the Kurdistan Democratic Independence Party (PASOK) by the representatives of the Qelaçıwalan Congress. In the years (1991-1992), he was responsible for the communication of the Kurdistan Front. On March 19, he participated in the Kurdistan Front meeting to determine the date of the Kurdistan National Council elections and the economic and security situation in Southern Kurdistan. In early 1992, on behalf of the Kurdistan Democratic Independence Party, he participated in the Kurdistan Front meeting to establish the Supreme Committee for Monitoring the Kurdistan National Council Elections. On April 7, 1992, on behalf of the Kurdistan Democratic Independence Party, he participated in the Kurdistan Front's extensive meeting of the Pirmam to prepare for the Kurdistan National Council elections. On Thursday, August 20, 1992, he delivered a welcoming speech to the attendees on behalf of the Kurdistan Democratic Independence Party at the First Congress of the Kurdistan Unity Party in Erbil. On Thursday, August 27, 1992, he was elected as a member of the Central Committee by the representatives of the First Congress of the Kurdistan Unity Party. In 1992, he was a candidate on the unity list for the Kurdistan National Council elections. In 1992, he was elected as a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Unity Party by the representatives of the congress. In 1992, he became the head of the communications department and a member of the research and studies department of the Kurdistan Unity Party. In 1992, he participated in the First Congress of the Kurdistan Artists Union in Erbil.
In 1993, after the fourth unification, he was elected by the congress representatives as a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – United (Yazdemin Congress). In mid-December 1994, he participated in the political management meeting of the Kurdistan Front. On February 8, 1996, he was a member of a delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – United that participated in the celebration of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in Tehran.
In 1998, he became the executive director of the eleventh round of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Training Conference in the city of Erbil. In 1999, he was elected as an alternate member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (Twelfth Congress) by the congress delegates and ranked sixth. On December 28, 1999, he was appointed as the second in charge of the central school for research and training of the Kurdistan Democratic Party by the Political School of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. On Tuesday, July 4, 2000, he participated in the opening of the Mukriyani Printing and Publishing Institute in the city of Erbil. In 2001, he became the in charge and teacher of the History of the Kurdistan Democratic Party course in the twelfth round of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Training Conference in the city of Erbil. On Wednesday, December 4, 2001, he attended the Third Congress of the Kurdistan National Movement in the city of Erbil.
On Saturday, July 28, 2001, he attended the opening of the Tenth Congress of the Kurdistan Students' Union in the city of Erbil with President Masoud Barzani. In 2002, he was in charge of the thirteenth session of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Cadres' Convention in the Pirmam municipality, Erbil province. In 2003, he was in charge of the central school of national relations, Erbil province. In 2004, he was in charge of the fourteenth session of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Cadres' Convention in the Pirmam municipality, Erbil province. On August 4, 2010, he attended the opening of the Seventh Congress of the Kurdistan Women's Union in the city of Erbil. In 2010, he was a representative of the Thirteenth Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
