Khosrow Tofiq Fathula, an economist and politician known as Nebez, was in charge of the organizations of the Iraqi Communist Party in 1948. In 1955, he became a member of the leadership of the Iraqi Communist Party in the city of Sulaymaniyah. In 1956, he became a member of the central committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party during the second unification. In 1959, he was expelled from the Kurdistan Democratic Party by the congress delegates for his leftist stance at the fourth congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Iraq.
Biography
Khosrow Tofiq Fethula, born in 1930 in the city of Sulaymaniyah, is the brother of the engineer The Tree of Tawfiq Fethula (1932 - 1980) is a member of the central committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 1948, he became a student at the Baghdad Higher Teachers' College. However, he did not complete his studies due to his involvement in political activities. In 1949, he was admitted to the Baghdad College of Commerce and received a bachelor's degree in economics and commerce. In the years (1960 - 1962), he was the director of statistics at the Ministry of Planning of the Republic of Iraq. In 1961, he was imprisoned by the authorities of the Republic of Iraq for political activities. In 1970, he became the general director of planning and monitoring at the Ministry of Northern Affairs in the Government of Iraq. In 1971, he became the general director of the Inhisari Tutini Command of the Republic of Iraq in Baghdad. He passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2004, in Baghdad and was buried there. He is fluent in both Kurdish and Arabic.

In 1956, Khosrow Tofiq Fethula, along with a group of members of the Iraqi Communist Party, established contact with the ranks of the Kurdistan United Democratic Party. On March 8, 1959, during the exile of Aqid Abdulwahab Shawaf (1916 - 1959), along with Zeim Rukin Abdulkarim Qasim (1914 - 1963), he led the demonstrations in the cities of Zakho and Duhok and commanded an armed force of supporters of the Democratic United Party of Kurdistan, leading attacks on the city of Mosul.
On June 30, 1959, at the second Baghdad conference, he was removed from the leadership position until the fourth congress due to his leftism, and in the same year, at the fourth congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Iraq, he was removed from the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party by the congress delegates due to his leftism.
After the arrest in 1963 and at the request of his brother Dara Tofiq (1932 - 1980), the President Mustafa Barzani (1903 - 1979), his request for release is granted. Abdulsalam Muhammad Arif (1921 - 1966), Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, releases him.
In 1974, he joined the ranks of the September Revolution and was appointed Deputy Secretary General of Finance. In 1975, after the defeat of the September Revolution, he emigrated, but soon returned to Southern Kurdistan and engaged in freelance work in Baghdad.
He passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2004, in Baghdad, where he was buried. He was fluent in both Kurdish and Arabic.
