Dear Muhammad

Aziz Muhammad Abdullah was born on July 1, 1924, in the village of Berkot, near Erbil. His father was a poor Kurdish farmer from Berkot, his mother was the daughter of a mullah and had come to Erbil from Van and Elbak (Başkale), and his mother was from Northern Kurdistan.

Comrade Dear Muhammad He came to Erbil with his mother at a very young age, learned to read the Quran at the Abu Bakr Mosque, and studied in Pirzin, Shaways, and Bahrka, but later gave up studying jurisprudence.

His mother sent him to school and, due to his intelligence, he was placed in the third grade. After finishing primary school, he thought of completing his studies at an industrial institute or a teacher training institute, but unfortunately this wish did not come true because for this he would have had to reduce his age by two years, although this was an easy task, but he could not. After leaving school, he was unemployed for a while, then with the help of some friends, he worked in the local Food Distribution Service and worked there for three years.

He joined the Communist Party in the spring of 1948 and began working for the party. The years (1940-1941) were the beginning of his political career, at the same time, he was encouraged to enter political life by several young men, including the famous Kurdish teacher Ezadin Feyzi.

At the same time, he joined the Hîwa Association and became a member of the Hîwa Association in May 1941. In 1942, he became a member of the People's Association, which published a newspaper called (Bilêse) and considered itself Marxist.

He became a member of the Iraqi Communist Party after the first congress of the Iraqi Communist Party in the winter of 1945. He was arrested on October 13, 1948, and remained in prison until August 1958, i.e. for 10 years.

During his years in prison, he learned the Arabic language through reading and read several literary books, stories, and political books, as well as many masterpieces of Russian, English, and German literature, in addition to reading the works of Taha Hussein, Najib Mahfouz, and other Arab writers.

Dear Muhammad He was the Secretary General of the Iraqi Communist Party from 1964 to 1993 and provided valuable services to the cause of Iraq and the region in general.

Dear Muhammad He is one of the communist figures who was awarded the Lenin Medal by the Soviet Communist Party in 1986, and was also awarded the Asian and African Medal (Green Star) by Russia in 2007, making him the second person to receive this medal after Nelson Mandela.

On June 10, 2015, in Pirmam, by the President Masoud Barzani He was awarded the Barzani Medal.
