Biography
Salim As'ed Khoshvi was born in 1943 in the village of Birakepra in the Akre district, where his family was forcibly resettled at the time. He graduated from the third grade of secondary school. In 1947, after the collapse of the republic, he was expelled to Telefer and Ramadi, and in 1954 he returned to Barzan. In 1975, after the collapse of the September Revolution, emigrated to Iran and settled in the city of Karaj. In addition to his native language, he also speaks Persian.

He participated in the uprising of the people of Kurdistan in 1991, and in 2010 he was a member of the 13th Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), at the same congress he was elected by the President.
