Biography
Martyr Hashim Aziz Ahmed, pseudonym Hashim Marozi, was born in 1925 in the village of Meroz, in the Mizuri Juri area of the Mergasor district in the Erbil province, he was married twice, his spouses were named Besna Khalil and Fairuz, he has 6 sons and 4 daughters, his two sons are named Hussein Hashim Aziz Meroz in 1996 and Sadiq Hashim Marozi They were martyred in 1986.

In 1945, he joined the ranks of the Second Barzan Revolution and became a peshmerga. He was one of the fearless and heroic Peshmerga of the Barzan Revolution. Due to his loyalty and skill in his youth, he was a famous person among the Mizuri Juri tribe. He was the representative of Sheikh Ahmed Barzani among the Mizuri tribe. In 1961, he was September Revolution He became a pêşmerge, and in the same year he was appointed as the deputy of Îsa Suwar Sêlkî, commander of the Zakho force.
He participated in several battles and battles as a commander and supervised the Peshmerga Forces, including the battles of the Zakho Valley, Batifa, the White Valley, Ayn Zale, Metina, Gare, Zawita, Atrush and the Valley of Qiyamat. He was seriously wounded twice. In 1964, due to his skill and bravery, he was appointed commander of the Sheikhan force by order of the late Barzani.
On May 10, 1965, he was seriously injured in the battle of Mount Etruş. He died a few hours later from his serious injuries and was buried in the village of Hasneka in the Mizuriyan region on Mount Etruş. He was one of the martyrs whose grave was unknown, but his grave was found 45 years after his martyrdom.
