In 1983, he became the head of the Xebat organization in the Zakho district. In 1988, after the Anfal operation and the chemical attack in the Behdinan district, he went to Northern Kurdistan and was transferred to the refugee camp in Diyarbakir. After the uprising and uprising in Southern Kurdistan in 1991, he returned to the ranks of the Peshmerga forces and became the head of the Bersiyav camp. In 1992, he became the Commander of the First Army in Zakho, and in 1994, he became the Battalion Commander.
Hacî Xidir Omer participated in the battles of Aluk and Serteng in 1978 and was wounded in the battle of 14-12 (December 1978). In 1983, he participated in the Battle of Ketine in the Qandil Mountains and was wounded for the second time on September 22, 1983. In 1984, when the Iraqi army attacked the Zakho district council, he actively participated in the defense and was wounded for the third time on September 1, 1984. In the same year, while participating in the Battle of Pêge in the village of Avgeniye, he was wounded for the fourth time on December 26, 1987. He was also wounded twice more in the battles of defense in the Sharia on November 12, 1992 and November 28, 1992, while participating in the battles in the Zakho area and in Serê Dêr. At the 13th Congress in 2010, by the President Masoud Barzani He was awarded the Barzani Medal of Honor. He is currently serving in the First Army of Sinjar, with the rank of Brigadier, Force Commander.
