Biography

Rebwar Yalda was born in 1952 in the city of Erbil, of Assyrian origin and Eastern Orthodox Christian faith. He is a graduate of the Erbil Teachers' Training Institute. He is fluent in Kurdish, Syriac, Arabic and Persian. He lived as a refugee in Iran in 1975 after the defeat of the September Revolution.

In 2004, he became the head of the central school of professional organizations and in 2017, he was appointed head of the organization school by the political school of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

In the fourteenth congress, he was elected as a member of the central committee and a member of the political school of the Kurdistan Democratic Party at the first meeting of the leadership committee in 2022. In 2023, he became the head of the PDP Elections section. and in 2024, he became the head of the Public Organizations section of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
