Since July 2019, he has been in charge of the office of the Council of Ministers of the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government.

He was elected as a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) at the 14th congress in Duhok on October 6, 2022.
