Biography

Masoud Mustafa Kake Heme Hussein, known as (Masoud Saleyi), was born in 1948 in the city of Kirkuk. He studied in the same city until the middle school. In 1965, he graduated from the Teachers' College, Department of Literature. In 1966, he was accepted to the University of Baghdad, Department of Law, but dropped out during the second year of university, in 1967. After the defeat of the September Revolution in 1975, he went to Iran as a refugee and lived there. After the uprising of 1991, he returned to Kurdistan. Saleyi became a master of Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish, Persian and English.

On November 15, 1994, on behalf of President Masoud Barzani, he attended the first day of the founding congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Socialist Party in the city of Erbil. In 1994, he became a member of the Central School of the Organization and, after a while, was appointed as the head of the Central School of the Organization. In 1995, he published articles in the newspaper Birayeti, the organ of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – United. On February 8, 1996, he visited Tehran with a delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party - United, to participate in the 17th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. On Monday, July 28, 1997, he attended the opening of the Fourth Congress (Equality Congress) in Erbil with President Masoud Barzani.

 

In 1997, he was a lecturer on organization at the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Cadres Conference in Erbil. In 1999, he was elected third by the congress delegates as an alternate member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (Twelfth Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party). In 2000, he hosted a delegation of Arab intellectuals. In 2001, he was a lecturer on organization, program and internal affairs of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - United in Erbil. On Thursday, November 29, 2001, he participated in the closing ceremony of the twelfth session of the Cadres Conference in Erbil with President Masoud Barzani.

 

On Thursday, June 6, 2002, in the town of Pirmam, he attended a joint meeting of the two Political Schools of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, where they discussed the electricity problem and the federal project. From February 14, 2004 to April 14, 2004, he was a teacher of the organization class in the fourteenth session of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Cadres' Conference in Pirmam. From 2004 to 2010, he was a member of the Political School of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 2005, he was appointed as the head of the Central Organization School. In 2007, he was a teacher of the organization class in the sixteenth session of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Cadres' Conference in Erbil. In 2016, he was appointed as the head of the Monitoring and Investigation Committee. On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, in the city of Erbil, he participated in the opening of the Eighth Congress (Peshmerga Congress) of the Democratic Youth Union of Kurdistan.
