Biography

Bayan Sami Abdulrahman was born in Baghdad in 1965. He holds a BA in History from the University of London and a Diploma in Journalism. He began his career in journalism in 1988 and worked as a journalist for The Observer and the Financial Times, and was Deputy Head of the Research Department of the Financial Times. In 2005, he became the Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in the United Kingdom and in 2014, the Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in the United States. He speaks Kurdish, Arabic, English, Japanese and Persian.
