Martyr Yunis Abdulezîz was born in 1956 in the village of Qurşakhlo, in the Quştepe district of Erbil province. He was a farmer and engaged in animal husbandry. His level of education was primary. Yunis Abdulezîz was a housewife and his family name was Behiye Sabir and he had four sons and three daughters.
In 1984, he established contact with the secret branches and cells of the Martyr Xidir Siware organization, which was affiliated with the Qareçukh organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 1985 and May Revolution He became a Peshmerga in the Qareçukh organization affiliated with the Maxmur District Committee of the Second League of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. He participated in the Battle of Qushtepe, the Battle of Maxmur, and in partisan detachments.
On August 26, 1986, in the Zurga Zirawi area of Erbil province, Yunis Abdulaziz and a group of his comrades were attacked by Ba'ath regime warplanes. Yunis Abdulaziz was martyred, along with several of his comrades named Amir Abdulwahab, Abdulamir Baqirtey, and Abdulwahab Baqirtey.
