On August 26, 1986, in the Zurga Zirawi area of ​​Erbil province, Yunis Abdulaziz and a group of his comrades were attacked by Ba'ath regime warplanes. Yunis Abdulaziz was martyred, along with several of his comrades named Amir Abdulwahab, Abdulamir Baqirtey, and Abdulwahab Baqirtey.
