Ghazi Muhammad Arif Muhammad

Ghazi Mihemed Arif Mihemed, who emigrated to Iran after the defeat of the September Revolution, became a Peshmerga of the May Revolution. Martyr Xazi Mihemed Arif, known as Xazi Sheikh Mihemede Mire Sur, was born in 1957 in the village of Mire Sur, in the Xurmal district. He grew up in the countryside and was engaged in farming. He studied until the primary stage and after the defeat of the September Revolution, he emigrated to Iran and settled in the city of Marivan.

 

In 1977, he became a Peshmerga in the battalion of martyr Abubakar Bani Binok, which at that time was in charge of the Surên force of the Derbendîxan District Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Fourth Division. He participated in the war of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran and the Kanêskan war and the partisan activity in the Sharezur plain, and in 1979 he received the rank of platoon commander.

 

On October 8, 1981, in the village of Qayeri Marif in the Sharazur plain, he and two of his comrades were ambushed by a force of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and Khazi Mihemed Arif and two of his comrades, one of whom was his own brother, Sabah Sheikh Mihemed and Cemal Bani Binokî, were martyred.
