Sheikha Ibrahim Sheikha was born in 1949 in the village of Cistan in the Dibega district of the Maxmur district of Erbil province. He completed his primary and secondary education in Dibega. In 1960, he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Qutabi (Students) Union. On April 4, 1964, he joined the Peshmerga forces of the September Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the Faris Bawe Battalion. In 1961, he received the rank of political cadre in the Second Division. He participated in the battles of Koye, Bawaji Mountain, Simaquli, Dola Balisan and Merge and Pishder against the Iraqi army. In 1965, he was wounded in his right leg in the Battle of Asos. In 1967, he received the rank of Sergeant in the First Battalion of the Hewler Plain Force.
After the March 11, 1970 agreement, he was established in the Erbil Education Directorate and became a statistics officer. In 1972, he completed the Islamic Seminary in Erbil. In 1974, after the Iraqi government failed to comply with the March 11 agreement and the war began, Sheikha Ibrahim contacted the Peshmerga forces of the Erbil Plain Force, whose headquarters was in the village of Zewa in the Khoshnawetiya district.
In 1975, after the defeat of the September Revolution, he emigrated to Iran and settled in the city of Shino. Later, he was transferred to the city of Dizful. On November 5, 1975, he returned to Iraq and was exiled to the city of Shatre in Basra province. In 1976, he was exiled and exiled to the city of Nasiriyah. In 1979, he returned to Erbil and left Erbil a year later and went to Eastern Kurdistan.
In 1980, he contacted the Peshmerga forces of the May Revolution. In 1981, he was elected as a member of the Second Division at the Kurdistan Democratic Party's internal conference. In 1982, he received the rank of Division Officer. On April 14, 1987, he was seriously injured during the chemical attack on Sheikh Wesanan. In the same year, he carried out several partisan actions against the Iraqi army in the Khoshnawet area and remained there until 1988. After carrying out the action, he went to the Hewler Plain and Koye.
In 1988, he returned to Eastern Kurdistan and became the head of the Zewa camp there. After the tenth congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, he was transferred to the Second Division and returned to the Hewler and Khoshnawatiya regions with a Peshmerga detachment. In 1991, he returned to Southern Kurdistan with President Masoud Barzani. He participated in the liberation of the cities of Soran and Khalifan and Hewler. On March 20, 1991, he participated in the liberation of the city of Kirkuk with the Peshmerga of the Second Division.
On March 19, 1992, after the election of the Kurdistan Parliament and the formation of the first cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Sheikha Ibrahim became the Assistant Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation. In 1999, he received the rank of Deputy Head of the Second Division of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 2005, he was elected as a member of the second division of the Kurdistan Parliament and retired in 2009.
On January 15, 2010, at the 13th congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, he was awarded the Barzani Medal of Immortality by President Masoud Barzani.
