Martyr Sadiq Ali Sadiq, known as (Karwan), was born in 1962 in the village of Sofi Brahim in the Qushtepe district of Erbil province, and was engaged in animal husbandry. He completed his primary education in the same village and went to Erbil city to continue his education. He completed all stages of his education, graduating from the Erbil Teachers' College. He founded it in 1982 and became a teacher at the Qandil College in the Iskan neighborhood of Erbil province.
Sadiq Ali became a member of the secret cell organization Aso Jamawer in 1983, which was the branch of the Hewler Plains District Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 1985, he joined the May Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the Hewler Plains Force, where Westa Yunis was the head of the district committee at that time. He graduated from the eighth cadre training course of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. After completing the cadre training course, he was promoted to the rank of executive officer of the Hewler Plains District Committee.
In 1986, Sadiq Ali was wounded in a clash with Ba'ath regime soldiers near the Balisan area. He actively participated in the partisan detachment on the border of the Hewler Plain, and for a while he oversaw the delivery of cadres to the Hewler Plain district council.
On July 5, 1987, Sadiq Ali and a group of his comrades were ambushed by the Ba'ath regime soldiers near the Daret district of Erbil province. As the confrontation began, Sadiq Ali was shot in the head and martyred. His body was captured by the Ba'ath soldiers and handed over to the Erbil Municipality, which buried him in the Kargey Qir cemetery.
