Martyr Latif Said Qurtas was born in 1915 in the village of Bolê, in the town of Sidekan, in the province of Erbil. He was a rural farmer and was married.
Joined in 1961 September Revolution He became a peshmerga in the Hacî Bêroxî Battalion of the Balek Force and participated in the battles of Hindurin, Zozk and Gorez. In 1966, he was martyred along with a group of his friends in the Omer Axa Valley due to shelling by the Iraqi regime.
