Martyr Hamid Karim was born in 1947 in the village of Mehmud Qeceri, in the Qoretu district of the Germiyan region. He was a farmer and worked as a livestock breeder. He graduated from high school. Hamid Karim was married to Remziya Mehmud and had a son and a daughter named Meriwan and Pexshan.
In 1962, he joined the September Revolution and became a pêşmerge in the sixth division of the seventh Biyare battalion of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Working Forces, at that time Sulêman Etroşî was the sixth division chief and Cemal Namiq was the battalion commander. In 1966, he received the rank of Sergeant from the same division.
Hamid Karim was wounded twice during his time as a Peshmerga. In 1965, a bullet hit his right arm in a clash with Iraqi forces at the time in Ban Gamishane near the Quratou district. In 1974, several fragments hit his body during the Battle of Bemo Mountain Defense due to the then Iraqi government's shelling of Peshmerga positions, and he was wounded for the second time.
In 1975, while defending Mount Bemo, he was hit by a bullet from Iraqi army soldiers and was martyred. At the same time, he was martyred along with martyr Hamid and two other comrades named Yarweli and Seyfullah. Later, their bodies were transported to Iran by Mullah Aziz and handed over to their families at the Enzil camp.
