The jurist and politician Ali Hussein Ahmed, known as Ali Surci, joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in 1982. He was a delegate to the eleventh congresses of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in 1993 and the twelfth in 1999, and was elected a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party at the 13th congress in 2010.
Biography
Ali Hussein was born in 1966 in the city of Duhok. He received his bachelor's degree in law from Salaheddin University - Erbil in 2001. He is fluent in both Kurdish and Arabic.

Ali Hussein joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in 1982. In 1991, he joined the Peshmerga forces of the second branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and participated in the uprising in Southern Kurdistan. He was a delegate to the 11th congresses in 1993 and 12th in 1999 of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and was elected a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party at the 13th congress in 2010. In 2022, he was elected a member of the central committee at the 14th congress and a member of the political school of the Kurdistan Democratic Party at the first meeting of the leadership committee, and became the head of the organization's school in Sulaymaniyah province.
In 1994, he became the head of the Harir district committee and in 2001, he became the head of the Shaqlawe district committee under the second district committee. In 2004, he became the head of the 16th district committee. In the years (2005-2011), he was the head of the 10th district committee of Soran and in 2013, he became the head of the second district committee of Erbil. In 2017, he became the head of the Kurdistan and Iraq relations school of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
