Ja'far Rasul Hamdi

Ja'far Rasul Hamdi was a Peshmerga of the September Revolution and was martyred on Mount Asos in 1969.


Martyr Ja'far Rasul Hamdi was born in 1944 in the village of Giwani, near the town of Diyana in Erbil province. He was a villager and engaged in farming. He did not complete his primary education and did not marry.

 

In 1964, he joined the September Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the Balek force and participated in the battles of Mount Korek, Interior, Qaladiz, and the districts of Hawraman, Halabja, and Dukan. In 1969, during the attack on Mount Asos in the Merge district, during the Iraqi army and the platoon Jalal Talabani who was martyred by Peshmerga forces.
