Biography

Bilind Ismail was born in Erbil in 1965 and graduated from the Erbil Teachers' College. He received his Bachelor of Laws degree from the evening law department of Salaheddin University - Erbil in 2006. He is fluent in Kurdish, Arabic and Persian.

Bilind Ismail joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in 1982 and the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces in 1987, and participated in several battles and confrontations against the Ba'ath government.
