Khalid Ahmed Faqa Akbar

Khalid Ahmed Faqe Akbar, a Peshmerga of the September Revolution, was martyred in 1964 when a bullet hit his head during an attack by Ibrahim Ahmed's platoon on Peshmerga positions.

Martyr Khalid Ahmed Faqe Akbar was born in 1941 in the village of Kanêskani, in the Xurmal district of Halabja province. He grew up in the countryside and was engaged in farming in the village.

On November 12, 1963, he became a Peshmerga and was assigned to the Fifth Battalion of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Xebat battalion, where Martyr Kemal Selim was the Fifth Battalion Commander.

Ibrahim Ahmed's group attacked the Peshmerga forces' positions and demanded their surrender and return to the revolution. For this reason, on September 12, 1964, Khalid Ahmed Faqa and his comrades did not surrender and defended themselves in the Kêwe Reş position behind the Ranye district. During that attack and confrontation, Khalid Ahmed Faqa was martyred.
