Suleiman Hussein Haji Abdullah

Sulêman Husayn Hajî Abdullah was a Peshmerga of the September Revolution and was martyred in 1979 by the hired hands of prisoners of the Ba'ath regime.


Martyr Sulêman Hisên Hacî Ebdula was born in 1952 in the village of Dêlziyan, near the town of Diyana in Erbil province. He was a villager and was educated up to primary school and became a housewife.

 

In 1970, he became a Peshmerga member of the Rewandiz District Committee of the 2nd Division and received the rank of Sergeant, and participated in the work and organizational activities of students and youth. He participated in the battles of Gorez and Geliyê Ali Beg. Between 1974 and 1976, he and two of his friends were arrested by the Ba'ath regime and sentenced to death. Later, they were released due to a general amnesty and he reconnected with the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. On November 10, 1979, the first assassination attempt was carried out by Ba'ath regime prisoners in the village of Spiyara in Xwakurk.
