Politician Serbest Cemil Murad, known as (Serbest Bapiri), was associated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party during its interim leadership in 1976 and with the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces in 1980. He was a delegate to the 10th congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in 1989, 11th in 1993 and 12th in 1999. He participated in the uprising in Southern Kurdistan in 1991. In 2010, he was elected as a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party at the 13th congress.

 

Biography

Serbest Babîrî was born in the city of Duhok in 1959. He is fluent in Kurdish and Persian.
