Martyr Rasul Muhammad Ali was born in 1955 in the village of Balekiyan in the town of Diyana in the province of Erbil. He grew up in a village and was engaged in farming, was illiterate, and his married life was not fulfilling.
In 1972, he joined the September Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the Arif Yasin battalion, which was led by Balek. He participated in the battles of Gorez and the Ali Beg Valley. In 1974, he was martyred in the Battle of Gorez Mountain due to the shelling of the Ba'ath regime.
