Martyr Osman Bas Hisên was born in 1939 in the village of Şiwan, located in the town of Sidekan, Erbil province. He lived and worked as a farmer and became a housewife.
In 1961, he became involved in the September Revolution and joined the Balek force, which was then under the command of Commander Hadê Hesko, becoming a Peshmerga and participating in the battles of the Ali Beg Valley and Sertîz. In 1964, he was martyred with a group of his comrades in the battle of Gerê Omer Axa due to the shelling of the Ba'ath regime.
