Martyr Mihyedin Mustafa Salih was born in 1923 in the village of Kawlebas, located in the town of Sidekan in Erbil province. He became a prominent figure in the village and a family man.
In 1962, he joined the September Revolution and became a Peshmerga. In 1971, by order of Mustafa Barzani, he became the Commander of the Battalion at the Barzani Base and under the supervision of Idris Barzani, and participated in many battles in the Sidekan and Soran areas. He later became the Battalion Commander of the Barzan force. In 1982, while returning from a visit to his village, which was then a liberated area of the revolution, a number of hired prisoners of the Ba'ath regime attacked his house and set it on fire, and he was martyred in a fierce confrontation.
