Martyr Muhammad Heme Karim Heme Sadiq Yusif was known as Hemey Sofi Karim and was born in 1955 in the village of Kanî Sêfi on the edge of the Surên mountain in the Xurmal district. He grew up in the countryside and was engaged in farming. He studied until the primary stage and after the defeat of the September Revolution, he emigrated to Iran and settled in the city of Marivan. He became a farmer and his family name was Eyna Heme Saîd and he had four sons and three daughters named Kazim and Masûd and Yadgar and Asad and Rahme and Rezan and Fatima.
In 1986, he became a Peshmerga in the Surin force under the Derbendikhan District Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Fourth Division. In 1987, the Ba'ath regime's warplanes bombed the Peshmerga positions on the Surin mountain, and as a result of the bombing, Hame Sofi Karim was hit by several pieces of shrapnel in the defensive position and was seriously injured.
He participated in the popular uprising of the Kurdistan people and was martyred when a bullet hit him during the siege of a Qayneja military base near Seyid Sadiq in the Sharazur area at the beginning of the uprising on March 7, 1991.
