Martyr Mexdîd Hemed Ali Faqe was born in 1955 in the village of Girtig, near the town of Çoman in Erbil province. He grew up in a village and was engaged in farming.
In 1971, he became involved in the September Revolution and joined the 4th Battalion of the Balek Force, which was then commanded by İzet Sulêman Begê Dergeleyî, becoming a Peshmerga and participating in the battles of Mount Korek and Mount Hindurên. In 1974, he was martyred in a landmine explosion while on duty in Mount Hindurên.
