Ibrahim Muhammad Suleiman Ahmed

Ibrahim Muhammad Suleman Ahmed, a Peshmerga of the May Revolution, was arrested by a guerrilla leader in 1984 while carrying out a partisan operation and was executed after seven months in Abu Ghraib prison.

Ibrahim Muhammad Suleman Ahmed was born in 1963 in the village of Wilesmiti on the slopes of the Surin mountain in the Sayyid Sadiq district of Sulaymaniyah province. He initially lived in the village and received his primary education there. After the defeat of the September Revolution, the Iraqi regime at the time destroyed the villages in the area and forcibly divided the population into several camps under its control. As a result, Ibrahim Muhammad was made a resident of the Shaner camp near Sayyid Sadiq.

In 1981, he became a Peshmerga under the leadership of Anwar Haji Osman, who was a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's Derbendikhan District Committee, League Four. He participated in the battles of Rezle and Parezan, the battle of Balkh, and the guerrilla activities in the Sharezur plain, the battle of Nalparez, and the battle of Kewloz.

In July 1983, with a group of his comrades and under the command of Anwar Haji Osman, after carrying out a partisan action in the Sharazur plain, the Peshmerga were divided into houses in the Shaniri camp for a few days until the situation returned to normal. However, Ibrahim Muhammad Suleman was arrested by the commander of the army and handed over to the command of Seyid Sadiq. He was then transferred to the Kirkuk city council and after seven months he was sent to Abu Ghraib prison and was hanged in February 1984 and became a martyr.
