Martyr Ali Mahmud Miradxan Keyani was born in 1945 in the village of Hesen Awa in the Sirwan district of Halabja province. Barzani gave his mother the name of Nemir Naz, a Kurdish name, to Ali Mahmud's mother.
In 1959, he contacted the underground organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. He became a member of the underground wing of the Shemran force, which was affiliated with the Xebat force. In 1961, he contacted the Peshmerga forces of the September Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the Newroli branch of the Shemran force, which was affiliated with the Xebat force of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
In 1963, he participated in the battles of Pirdi Zelm and the Battle of Mount Zozik in the Diyana district of Erbil province, and the battles of the Newroli area and the Shamerani area in Sulaymaniyah province. In 1964, he received the rank of Sergeant in the Newroli Division of the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces.
In 1968, he was shot and killed during a battle and counterattack by the Iraqi army in the Sharazur plain.
