Biography
Lawyer Jarjis Fathullah Shamas, also known as Jarjis Fathullah al-Mu Hami, was born in 1920 in Mosul. He is a Chaldean and Catholic. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Mosul in He graduated from Baghdad Law College in 1943. He worked as a lawyer for a long time. In 1971 he moved to Lebanon where he settled The September Revolution He was a refugee in Iran. He applied for asylum in the UK in August 1979 after the victory of the Iranian People's Revolution. In 1984, he moved to Sweden as a refugee and settled there on July 23, He died in Erbil and was buried in Ankawa cemetery in Erbil province. He was fluent in Syriac, Arabic, English, French, Kurdish, Swedish and Persian.
Khabatname
In 1946, he joined the Iraqi Independence Party. In 1946, he was one of the founders of the People's Party He joined the Kurdish Democratic Party (KDP) in 1948. On June 4, 1956, he became the owner of the Arabic-language newspaper Al-Raid, which was published in Mosul It was closed down by the military authorities on July 14, 1958. On May 7, 1959, he became the editor-in-chief of the Arabic-Kurdish newspaper Al-Haqiqah, published in Mosul After 24 issues were closed by the Iraqi government, in December 1959 he supported the teachers' list of the Iraqi Communist Party in the elections of the Iraqi Teachers' Union in Mosul.
In 1959, he was involved in organizing the peace demonstration in Mosul organized by the Iraqi Communist Party and later in the suppression of the coup d'état of Colonel Abdul Wahab Shawaf (1916-1959). In 1968, he was a member of the editorial board of the magazine (Al-Kader and Al-Takhi). In 1968, he joined the ranks of the Peshmerga forces The September Revolutionh has done. In 1968-1969 he taught the first course of political science and contemporary Iraqi history at the Revolutionary Teachers Training Institute.
