Martyr Xidir Yusif Bapir was born in 1942 in the village of Wertê, in the Rewandiz district of Erbil province. He grew up in a village and was engaged in farming, was educated, and had an unhappy married life.
In 1970, he contacted the Balek District Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and carried out clandestine organizational work. He was arrested by the Ba'ath regime in 1987 and executed the same year.
