Martyr Xidir Ebdula Ehmed Aziz was born in 1931 in the village of Dergele, in the Rewandiz district of Erbil province. He grew up in a village and was engaged in farming, was not educated, and lived a married life.
In 1961, he joined the Peshmerga forces of the September Revolution and became a commander in the 4th battalion of the Balek force, participating in the battles of Korek and Serçiya and the Hinduran Mountain Campaign. On May 12, 1966, he was killed by Iraqi regime bullets in the Hinduran Mountain Campaign, becoming the first martyr and commander of 25 brave Peshmerga who participated in the Hinduran Campaign.
