Biography

Arif Taifur was born in 1945 in Sulaimani. He completed his secondary education in Kirkuk and Sulaimani. In 1967, he received a bachelor's degree in law from Baghdad University In 2005, he was nominated by the Kurdistan Alliance for the Iraqi National Assembly and became the second deputy speaker of the Iraqi National Assembly. He is fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, English and Persian.

The struggle
