Biography
Zakia Ismail Haqi Mirza Ismail, also known as Zakia Faily, was born in 1939 in Baghdad to a Kurdish businessman family. He attended primary, secondary and high school in Baghdad, then entered the College of Law in 1957 He received a degree in law from Baghdad University with honors. In 1966, he received a degree in business administration from a Swiss university. In 1972, he received a master's degree in law from Baghdad University with honors from an American university He holds a doctorate in law. Before the coup d'etat of July 14, 1958, he was appointed as a judge in the Baghdad Executive Office for one month. On June 6, 1962, he was dismissed for political activities and Kurdishness He was released from prison in 1964 and worked as a lawyer. On Saturday, June 19, 1971, he visited Erbil to take over the orphanage building.
On April 28, 1974, after the seizure of his house by the Iraqi government, his family was deported to the liberated areas. In 1974, he was a member of the supervisory committee of the refugee camp in the Kingdom of Iran Nskoy The September Revolution He was a refugee from the Kingdom of Iran and later returned to Iraq. After the Kurdistan uprising in 1991, he moved to the liberated areas. In 1993, he moved to the United States He died in hospitals in the United States after a long struggle with illness. He was fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, English and Persian.
Khabatname
Zakia Ismail joined the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in 1951. On December 11, 1952, she was one of the founders of the Kurdistan Women's Union. In 1953, she became the secretary of the Kurdistan Women's Union Kurdistan Democratic Party In 1958, she visited Zaim Abdulkarim Qasim (1914-1963) at his headquarters in Baghdad as the head of the Kurdistan Women's Union delegation. In the same year, she supervised the secret organizations of the Kurdistan Women's Union Eighth Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic PartyIn 1970, she was appointed as a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). Eighth Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party On September 25, 1970, she was elected secretary of the Kurdistan Women's Union (KWU) at its first congress. On July 17, 1970, she participated in the demonstration on behalf of the Kurdistan Women's Union to mark the second anniversary of the victory of the Ba'athist Arab Socialist Party in Baghdad He was appointed by the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) High Committee for the General Census as a member of the Information and Warning Committee for the Iraqi General Census so that the authorities do not deceive people by writing them as non-Kurdish.
On April 18, 1971, she was re-elected as the president of the Kurdistan Women's Union for the second time. On April 25, 1971, she was elected as the vice president of the Kurdistan Women's Union In late April 1971, she attended the Seventh Congress of Arab Women in Tunisia. He joined the ranks of the Peshmerga forces in 1974.
