Academic and politician Khasraw Abdullah Ismail Ma'roof, also known as Khasraw Goran, joined the ranks in Kurdistan Democratic Party In 1978, he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces Ninth 1979, Tenth 1989 and the eleventh 1993 and 2010 in Thirteenth CongressHe was elected a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).

Biography

Khasraw Goran was born in 1960 in Duhok. In 1987 he received a bachelor's degree in national economics from Stockholm University and a master's degree in history. 1994-2003: Director General of the Office of the Kurdistan National Assembly. In 2003, he was appointed deputy governor of Mosul by the Kurdish provincial council. In 2014, he became a member of the Iraqi National Assembly on the list Kurdistan Democratic Party. . . . He is fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, Swedish and English.

  The struggle

In 1976 he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and in 1978 he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces. He moved to Sweden as a refugee in the mid-1980s and returned to South Kurdistan in 1993.

Representative of the Congresses Ninth 1979, Tenth 1989, the eleventh 1993,  12th Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (1999) and in 2010 at Thirteenth CongressIn 2011, he was elected as a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).

In 2003, he was appointed deputy head of the committee of the fourteenth branch of Mosul and a year later he was appointed head of the committee of the same branch.

In 2014, he was elected to the Iraqi parliament and became the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) faction.
