Biography
Hamid Hussein Hamad, also known as Hamid Effendi, was born in 1934 in Erbil. He went to school in 1941 in Syedkan village of Erbil province. He graduated from high school in 1957. He graduated from Erbil Teachers Institute In 1958 he applied for admission to the Iraqi Royal Aviation College but was rejected because he was a Kurd. In 1959 he was appointed as a teacher in Delzian Primary School of Erbil Province. In 1960 he was appointed as the school principal Syedkan Primary School was established in Erbil province. He was displaced to Iran in 1975 after the collapse of the September Revolution. He was fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, English and Persian. He has two works entitled (Introduction to Partisanship in Kurdistan - 1984, Bee Breeding in Kurdistan - 1986). He died on 17/2/2023 in Erbil.
