Biography
Omar Mustafa was born in 1923 in Koya, Erbil province. He graduated from primary and secondary education in Koya and the College of Law in Baghdad (1946-1951).

He was one of the organizers of the Mawat meeting held in April 1964. In 1964, he joined the Jalal Talabani-Ibrahim Ahmad group and its congress He was expelled from the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) by a majority of the congress delegates. He died on December 29, 1992 in Sulaimani and was buried in Koya. He was fluent in Arabic and English.
