He completed his primary, intermediate, and secondary education in Erbil. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the College of Law at the University of Baghdad in 1946. In 1959, he married the daughter of Karim Zansti (1900-1996), one of the founders of the Zansti (Science) Association and one of the nationalists and intellectuals of Sulaymaniyah. In 1961-1962, he was a judge in the Erbil Investigation Court. Between 1963-1980, he held the position of judge in the Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal in Baghdad. On October 11, 1980, he was appointed as a judge in the Administrative Court in the Karkh district of Baghdad. He was retired in 1990, but was quickly reinstated to his position and retired again in 1994. He died in Baghdad on October 5, 1996, and was buried in the Sheikh Maarouf Cemetery in Baghdad.
