Yasin Jawhar Mamal, also known as Yasin Berokhi, was born in 1925 in Berokhi village of Hakkari province of North Kurdistan. He was a child when his father died They settled in Nar village in Margawar region. In 1975, he was displaced to Iran for the third time and settled in Jaldiyan village in East Kurdistan. He was later transferred to Nalivan community in Shino, then to Rabat community in Sardasht and then to Kerman. In 1991, after the Kurdistan Uprising, he returned to Bahrka and settled in Pirmam. He retired in 1993.
He joined the Barzan forces in 1946 and became a Peshmerga in the Kurdistan Republic Army. He participated in the Battle of Malqarani. After the fall of the Kurdistan Republic, he returned to South Kurdistan After twenty-five days of military service, he fled to Qushtapa village and then went to Bestana and stayed with Ali Mahmoud Agha Dzeyi.
In 1953, he moved from Bestan village to Berokh village in North Kurdistan. In 1955, he was arrested by the Turkish government and sent to the army for two years The September Revolution In 1961 he joined the Peshmerga forces The September Revolution He became a Peshmerga and participated in the battles of Zanta, Sar-e-Pirs and the battles of the Zebaris. He was wounded in these battles.
In 1962, he returned to Soran region. In 1963, when the Iraqi army attacked Barzan region, he returned to Barzan region and participated in the battle of Sar-e-Pirs and Sar-e-Akre He was appointed to the branch and participated in the battle of Sarchia village.
After the March 11, 1970 agreement, he was appointed as a border guard in Kani Smaq in Ghala district.
On August 16, 1996, on the Golden Jubilee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), for his services, by the President Massoud Barzani He was awarded the Immortal Barzani Medal.
