The 9th Congress of the Kurdistan Women's Union was held on December 21, 2023 in Erbil.

On June 14, 2023, after a meeting of the Secretariat Bureau of the Kurdistan Women's Union and the Bureau of Mass Organizations of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, it was decided to hold the ninth congress of the Kurdistan Women's Union.

After the completion of the preparations, on December 21-22, 2023, in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, under the slogan (Women's strength and ability is the foundation of peace and economic progress). The ninth congress of the Kurdistan Women's Union was held. The members represented all the organs and organizations of the organization.

The congress management committee consisted of:

1- Snabar Saber - Chairman of the Committee

3- Nafsiya Khazr - Member of the Committee

4- Shaima Mustafa - Member of the Committee

5- Bandi Khalid - Member of the Committee

6- Azhin Khurshed - Member of the Committee

7- Asia Maghdid - Member of the Committee.

After the opening ceremony and reading the general report of the organization and the reports of the appointed committees, the reports of the committees were discussed on the morning of the second day of the congress.

In the afternoon of the second day, the election was held to appoint a new committee for the Secretariat of the Kurdistan Women's Union. The election process was conducted by a judicial team consisting of:

In the process, which was held on the basis of geographical circle and the organizing bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the provinces, (7) candidates as main members and (3) other candidates as reserve members of the secretariat.
