Suleiman Ismail Jahangir was born in Year 1927 in the village of Botia in Duhok Governorate. He joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Year 1959. He became a Party cadre in Year 1961 within the borders of the Duhok local committee within the First Branch of the Party. He was assigned as responsible for the Peshmerga wing of the Duhok local committee.
