Ibrahim Mohamed Aziz, known as (Ibrahim Reshaveyi), was born in 1928 in the village of Reshave in the Nehêlî district, which is part of the Amadiya district of Duhok province. In 1959, he joined the ranks of the KDP and in 1961, with the start of the September Revolution, he went to the ranks of the Peshmerga in the Barwari Bala district and participated in the battles of the Amadiya area with the Peshmerga of Mela Shin. Later, he became a Peshmerga with Haris Xano Bedaruni and participated in the battles of Khizala, Gora Bahiv, Sere Bedarune, and Pire Cheme. In 1962, with General Mustafa Barzani he crossed into the Soran district. Initially, he was in Dolereqe and later in Sengeser with Hiso Mirxan Jajuki. In 1964, he was transferred to the Gelale district and in 1965 he was in Qesre. Due to carrying and moving boxes of bullets and artillery shells, he suffered from back pain and was transferred to Urmia, where he underwent surgery.
In 1975, after the defeat of the revolution, he was in a period of rest and handed over his weapon to the Iraqi regime. However, he went secretly to the Doski area and from there he reached North Kurdistan. Later, he went to the Zewe camp and the city of Nexede, where he became a guard at the Barzani Headquarters. After Barzani went to Karaj, he was transferred to the Cehrim camp and from there they sent him to the city of Abadan. Later, he secretly reached the city of Karaj and held a meeting with Idris Barzani. On September 16, 1976, he was sent to South Kurdistan by Idris Barzani.
In 1980, he was in the Peshmerga Force under Mustafa Nerweyi. In 1980, after the start of the war between Iraq and Iran, the Ismankawe Valley in the Behdinan area was gradually liberated. For that reason, Ibrahim Reshaveyi went to the village of Ele in the Nerwe area, and from there, a village consisting of nearly 40 families of Peshmerga families was formed. In 1988, after the widespread Anfal operation and the chemical bombardment of the Behdinan district, he and all the families of that village reached North Kurdistan and returned to East Kurdistan on October 10, 1989. In 1992, after the uprising of the people of South Kurdistan, he returned to South Kurdistan.
Ibrahim Reshaveyi participated in 39 battles and was wounded in the battles of Sere Amadiya in 1961, the battles of the Choman area in 1974, and the battle of Geliye Reshave in the Amadiya area in 1978. In 2010, at the thirteenth congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, by President Masoud Barzani he received the Barzani medal.
