the biography
The martyr Hashim Aziz Ahmed, known as Hashim Mirouzi, was born in the village of Mirouzi in the Mazuri Bala area of the Mergasur district in Erbil Governorate in 1925. He married twice, first to Basna Khalil and then to Fayrouz, and had six sons and four daughters. Two of his sons were martyred: Hussein Hashim Aziz Mirouzi in 1966, and Sadiq Hashim Mirouzi in 1986.

He joined the ranks of the second Barzan Revolution in 1925, and was one of the brave and heroic Peshmerga fighters in the Barzan Revolution. From his youth, he was known among the members of his Mazuri tribe as one of the courageous fighters. He was Sheikh Ahmed Barzani's representative to the Mazuri tribe, and became a Peshmerga. September Revolution In 1961, he assumed the responsibility of Deputy Commander of the Zakho Forces (Issa Swar Silki) in 1961.
He participated in many battles and epics as a commander and supervisor of the Peshmerga forces, including the battles of Gali Zakho, Batifa, Gali Spi, Ain Zala, Matina, Gara, Zawita, Atroush, Gali Qiyamat, and was seriously wounded twice. Due to his courage and experience, he was granted the rank of commander of the Sheikhan forces by order of the immortal Barzani.
He was seriously wounded in the Battle of Mount Atroush on May 10, 1965, and died hours after being wounded. He was buried in the village of Hasinka in the Mazuri area of Mount Atroush. He was one of the martyrs whose graves were unknown, but his grave was found 45 years after his martyrdom.
