Mohammed Hama Karim Hama Sadiq, known as Hama Sufi Karim, was born in 1955 in the village of Kani Saif at the foot of Mount Surin in the Khurmal district. He was a villager and worked in agriculture. He completed his primary education and sought refuge in Iran after the setback. September Revolution He settled in the city of Mariwan. He was married to Aina Hama Saeed and he was the father of four sons and three daughters (Kazem, Masoud, Yadgar, Asad, Rahma, Rezan, Fatima).
He joined the Peshmerga in 1986 in the Surin forces of the Darbandikhan local committee in the fourth branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. Hama Sufi Karim was seriously wounded in 1987 by shrapnel from bombs dropped by the Baathist regime’s aircraft in defensive positions at Mount Surin.
He participated in the popular uprising of the people of Kurdistan since the beginning of the uprising in the Sharazur region. He was martyred on March 7, 1991, after being shot by soldiers during the operation to regain control of the Qainja camp near Said Sadiq.
