Sahib Habib Hama Rashid

The martyr Sahib Habib Hama Rashid, whose father and one of his brothers were martyred, was a Peshmerga of the Gulan Revolution. He was seriously wounded once during his struggle in the ranks of the Peshmerga. He assumed the position of platoon commander. He was martyred in 1988 in a confrontation with the soldiers of the Ba'athist regime in the Khurmal district.

Sahib Habib Hama Rashid Wahab was born in the Biara district of Halabja Governorate in 1972. A resident of Biara, he was a middle school student and joined the ranks of the Peshmerga of the Firoz Biara Regiment, affiliated with the Hawraman Forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

In 1987, he was ambushed by Baathist regime soldiers in the Hawraman region, where he was seriously wounded but managed to escape the ambush despite his injuries. After receiving treatment in 1987, he was granted the rank of platoon commander.

Sahib Habib Hama Rashid Wahab was martyred in 1988 after clashes with Baathist regime soldiers in the Khurmal district, and he and his companions were ambushed by the regime army. The soldiers transported his body to the city of Sulaymaniyah and he was buried in the Gerdi Siwan cemetery by the city municipality.
