He participated in combat operations in the areas of Shamiran, Tagozzi, Darbandikhan, the city of Halabja, and the Sharazur Plain.

On May 3, 1983, the martyr Suleiman and two of his Peshmerga comrades, Ghafour Muhammad Galjali and Faiq Ali Ghafour, were ambushed near the village of Hokan in the Tagouzi area of ​​Halabja district by the Qalkhani militia loyal to the Ba'athist regime. Clashes ensued, and Faiq Ali was martyred. Suleiman Abdulrahman (Suleiman Abdulrahman Tagouzi) and Ghafour Muhammad (Ghafour Galjali) fell wounded into the hands of the militia after fierce fighting.
