He participated in the battles of the Amadiya region with the Peshmerga forces of Mulla Shani in the Barwari Bala region, then he joined the Peshmerga with Haris Khanu Bidaruni and participated in the battles of Khizala, Kura Bahif, Ras Bidarun and the Jami Bridge. In 1962 he crossed into the Soran region with the general Mustafa Barzani Initially, he was in Dola Raqqa, and later in Sinkasar with Haso Mirkhan Zazouki. In 1964, he was transferred to the Kalala region, and in 1965, he was in Qasri, where he suffered from back pain and a slipped disc due to carrying and transporting boxes of lead and artillery shells. He was transferred to Urmia, where he underwent surgery.
In 1975, after the setback of the revolution, he was on leave and had surrendered his weapon to the Iraqi regime. However, he fled to the Doski area, and from there reached the Zewa camp via northern Kurdistan and the city of Naghdeh. He was assigned to guard Barzani's headquarters. After Barzani left for Karaj, he was transferred to the Jahrom camp, and from there to Abadan. He then fled back to Karaj and met Idris Barzani. On September 16, 1976, Idris Barzani sent him to southern Kurdistan. In 1980, he was with the Peshmerga forces under Mustafa Nerwi. Also in 1980, after the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq War, the Istankara Valley in the Badinan region was gradually liberated. Ibrahim Rashawi went to a village in the Nineveh region, where there were about 40 houses that formed the Peshmerga families. In 1988, after the infamous Anfal campaign and the chemical bombing of the Badinan region, he arrived in northern Kurdistan with all the families from that village. On October 10 The first one returned to Eastern Kurdistan in 1989. In 1992, he returned to Southern Kurdistan after the popular uprising in Southern Kurdistan.
Ibrahim Rashawi participated in 39 battles and was wounded in the battles of Ras Amidi (Sehri Amidi) in 1961, the battles of the Juman region in 1974, and the battle of Keli Rashawa in the Midi region in 1978.
