Ahmed Mawloud Mahmoud, known as Ahmed Mina, was born in the village of Balkha, which belongs to the district of Bayara in the Hawraman region in 1932. He was a villager and worked in gardening. He was married to Kafia Yamam, and they had three sons and three daughters (Wshiar, Wakil, Sardar, Mahtab, Suad, Shanna).
In 1961, he joined the Peshmerga of the Hawraman faction under the command of Sheikh Hama Amin, which belonged to the Khabat Regiment of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. He was seriously wounded in 1965 while confronting the Iraqi regime's army at the time in the Bilula area at the foot of Mount Bamo. He took over responsibility for the Revolution Prison in 1967 in the Biara district of the Hawraman region, a prison that was supervised by the Khabat forces.
Ahmed Mawloud and two of his Peshmerga comrades (Mulla Qadir and Ali Halaw) were ambushed by the Iraqi regime's army in the village of Hama Ogan, between the Nawroli area and the city of Halabja, in 1969. They were all martyred after two hours of fighting and clashes with those forces.
