He was seriously wounded in 1965 while confronting the Iraqi regime's army at the time in the Bilula area at the foot of Mount Bamo. He took over responsibility for the Revolution Prison in 1967 in the Biara district of the Hawraman region, a prison that was supervised by the Khabat forces.

Ahmed Mawloud and two of his Peshmerga comrades (Mulla Qadir and Ali Halaw) were ambushed by the Iraqi regime's army in the village of Hama Ogan, between the Nawroli area and the city of Halabja, in 1969. They were all martyred after two hours of fighting and clashes with those forces.
