Vala Farid

Vala Farid Ibrahim Sian was born in 1976 in Erbil. He graduated from Salahaddin University with a master's degree in law in 2003 and a doctorate in public law in 2008 from Salahaddin University.

Vala Farid was a lecturer at the College of Law and Politics of Salahaddin University. In 2013, he was elected as a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in the fourth round of parliamentary elections. On July 10, 2019, he was appointed Minister of Regional Affairs in the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government.

On November 6, 2022 at Fourteenth Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party  He was elected as a member of the central committee by the members of the congress in Duhok.
