The 8th Congress of the Kurdistan Women's Union (KWU) was held on September 3, 2018, under the slogan of “Empowering Women in an Advanced Society”, entitled “National Congress”, in Shahid Saad Abdullah Hall in Erbil, with the presence of 166 delegates.

On September 4, 2018, the four committees of Rules and Programs, General Report, Complaints and Recommendations submitted their reports to the delegates of the Congress and then a new committee was elected for the Secretariat Bureau by the vote of the delegates.

At the end of the work, the delegates elected a new committee for the Secretariat as follows:

1- Vian Sulaiman, Secretary.

2- Narin Abdulqadir, Member of the Secretariat Bureau.

3- Ziba Taha, Member of the Secretariat Bureau.

4- Zuhaila Yousef, member of the Secretariat Bureau.

5- Payman Taha, member of the Secretariat Bureau.

6- Delvin Khalif, member of the Secretariat Bureau.

7- Shaima Mustafa, member of the Secretariat Bureau.

8- Naska Saeed, member of the Secretariat Bureau.

9- Ayhan Adnan, Reserve Member of the Secretariat Bureau.

10- Dilkhwaz Ajil, Reserve Member of the Secretariat Bureau.
